a power outage due to a failure of the main Power Supply Backup.

Ashburn, Sterling, Herndon, Leesburg and Aldie,
2.45pm we have experienced an outage, when traced it is found to
be coming from Verizon's ongoing issues due to poor public
utility cabling that serves Ashburn area. we will update this
page as we get updates from The Telco.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. we promise
we will be working diligently until service is restored.
it is now 3.43pm it appears that connectivity is restored but it
is to soon to say that is is permanently restored will update
the record accordingly.

outage limited to Lee Rd Chantilly area only. outage was due to
a defective power circuit barkers feeding the serving access

support team will be replacing one of the main backup access
points serving the area. this maintenance is expected to last no
more then two hours. on Saturday or Sunday as weather permits.

TYPE OF WORK: Physical relocation of routers in the DATA Center
IMPACT OF WORK: During this extended maintenance period,
customers may experience latency and in some cases, packet loss.
We have devised a plan which will eliminate extended downtime or
latency for customers, however this maintenance has the
potential to be service affecting during periods of shifting
traffic within the network.

went down due to a defective Network Card on Verizon side this
caused a service outage from 1.20PM to 6.10PM.
